New Class for Those With Parkinson's!

Wednesdays & Fridays  9:30 AM

sitnFit for Parkinson's

In collaboration with Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson's, Boomers N Motion is excited to offer this chair-based exercise class to individuals with Parkinson's and their caregivers.

About the Class: Have FUN and groove to the music through a variety of seated routines and exercises specially chosen to address the needs of those dealing with Parkinson’s disease.  This chair-based class format consists of a warm-up followed by a heart-pumping aerobics routine.  Many of the choreographed movements mimic activities of daily living, and fun chants are encouraged.  This leads to the second phase of the class that may include exercises to improve muscular strength, grip strength and hand dexterity, or balance training (in the standing position).  The class concludes with a gentle stretching routine.

This class is open to anyone with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.

Get Fit While You Sit!

Have FUN and move to the music through a variety of aerobic exercises designed to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance...all in the seated position!  This chair-based exercise class is appropriate for older adults and those looking to lessen the impact on their joints.  All ages and skill levels are welcome.  Standing exercises may be incorporated to improve balance and flexibility.
