Q :  How long is a session with the coach?

A :  Each session is a total of 60 minutes.

Q :  What does a private session consist of?

A :  Each time you meet with your coach, you will go through a specialized session designed specifically for YOU or YOUR group based on your health and fitness goals.  Each session will typically consist of some form of exercise, nutrition education, and motivation to get you pumped for a successful week!

Q :  Do I live in the service area?

A :  Boomers N Motion currently serves Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, West Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and Sarasota.

Q :  What is a Health Coach?

A :  Health coaches want to help YOU improve your overall health.  They don’t believe that one size (or exercise and nutrition plan) fits all.  Instead, they focus on what’s going on inside your head as a way to modify your behaviors and improve your physical conditions and sense of well being.  Health coaches incorporate exercise and listen to what you’d like to change.  They work with you to develop the steps necessary for you to meet your goals.  They don’t prescribe or tell you what to do.  Instead, they help educate, motivate, and empower you to make healthier habits in the fields of exercise, nutrition, and overall well being.  

Q :  How and when do I make a payment?

A :  Monthly membership payments are due at the beginning of each month, no later than the 8th.

Q :  Where and when are the group exercise classes?

A :  Sit N Fit is held at 9:30 am on Wednesdays and Fridays at Roser Community Church on Anna Maria Island.  Sit N Fit for Parkinson's is held at 12:00pm on Thursdays at the Goodwill Store Community Room on Cortez Rd. in Bradenton.

Q :  Who are my coaches?

A :  Co-founders, Melissa Merkle and Kirt Lietzow, can’t wait to help you reach your BEST health!  Melissa is certified as a Health Coach and Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise and as a Group Exercise Instructor through the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America.  Kirt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science-Physiology from the University of Akron and is also certified as a Group Exercise Instructor through the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America.  They are both CPR/AED certified.  Between the two of them, they have 30 years experience in the health and wellness industry!    

Q :  Can I actually get a good workout with a chair-based exercise class?

A :  Yes!  People are surprised by this all the time.  The choreographed routines keep you moving throughout the class and can provide a great workout.  Give it a try.  You'll be surprised too. 

Q :  What is a membership?

A :  Boomers N Motion believes that optimal health and fitness is a lifestyle and not a number of sessions.  Three types of monthly memberships are available – private, semi-private, and small group.

Q :  Where do I meet with my coach?

A :  Boomers N Motion coaches come to you.  Specializing in in-home coaching, Boomers N Motion allows you to work in the comforts of your own home.  

Q :  Does Boomers N Motion Health Coaching carry liability insurance?

A :  Yes, Boomers N Motion Health Coaching carries insurance through Philadelphia Insurance Companies.

Q :  Do I need to have a gym in my home?

A :  Nope!  No gym is required.  Boomers N Motion Health coaches will bring the necessary equipment directly to you and specifically develop exercises to help you meet your goals in the space you have available.

Q :  How much does it cost to attend a group exercise class?

A :  All group exercise classes are currently offered on a donation-basis, so you can give what you'd like.  Donations go to the instructor for teaching the class.
