Co-founder and Director of Health Coaching, Melissa developed a passion for fitness when she was a young girl living in Akron, Ohio, and it continues to grow stronger each day.  Melissa became certified as an AFAA Group Exercise Instructor while attending Kent State University back in 2002, and she later earned her personal training and health coach certifications through ACE.  She has accumulated a vast array of experience in the fitness industry over the past 15 years.  She has completed graduate course work in nutrition and strives to learn more each day.

Melissa’s family means the world to her, and she is especially close to her mom who still lives in Ohio.  When her mom retired a year ago, Melissa realized how important it was for her (and all of her friends) to make health a priority.  Melissa continues to educate, support, and encourage her mom and her closest friends, so that they can stay active, independent, and self-sufficient as long as possible.  Melissa desires to help others do the same by focusing on the needs of an aging population through exercise, nutrition, balance conditioning, stress reduction, and good old fashion fun!
